ANKARA (IGFA) – President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who arrived at the summit of NATO leaders, met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
The NATO Leaders’ Summit began today in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. The leaders of Sweden, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and Japan will also attend a two-day summit with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The summit will discuss Sweden’s membership in NATO, the alliance’s new military plans and the latest situation in the Ukrainian-Russian war.
As part of the summit, President Erdogan’s meetings continue at the LITEXPO exhibition and fair center.
President Erdogan, who held the first of his contacts with French President Emmanuel Macron, will meet with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz as part of today’s contacts.
The meeting he will hold today with Erdogan and US President Joe Biden is expected to begin at 6 pm.
