Erdogan’s statement about fuel increase!

SHAFAQNA Türkiye – President Erdogan made a statement to reporters on the plane after returning from a visit to the Persian Gulf. Defending the sharp rise in gasoline and diesel prices, Erdogan said Turkey is one of the cheapest countries in Europe in terms of fuel.

AKP President and Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdogan highlighted the tax regulation adopted by the Ministry of Finance and Finance and announced that this regulation was adopted within the financial burden and budgetary needs caused by the earthquake. He said Turkey’s fuel prices are automatically determined by world prices and that pensioners, civil servants and workers are rightfully on the rise in the country’s fight against inflation. He also stated that they would not allow opportunists and that they were increasing criminal cases by tightening control.

Erdogan defended the increase in fuel with the following words:

With regard to fuel oil, our Ministry of Treasury and Finance has adopted regulation related to taxes. There was no inflation update for a very long time, especially since the SCT was fixed. For this reason, such an increase was made in SCT. In particular, we needed such an agreement within the framework of the large financial burden caused by the February 6 earthquakes, in this sense, within the framework of budgetary needs.

“TURKEY IS ONE OF THE CHEAPEST COUNTRIES IN EUROPE IN FUEL”

Despite all this, Turkey is one of the cheapest countries in Europe in terms of fuel prices. Fuel already has an automatic pricing mechanism. It is determined in terms of world prices. The impact of the earthquake caused by the increase in SCT is a tax regulation adopted within the framework of the needs of Turkey related to the fight against earthquakes. As far as retirees are concerned, we should reassess as of the end of the year. We made the highest possible increase by imposing budget conditions on the officer, worker and pensioner. We promised that we would not pressure anyone for inflation, and so far we have not done so. We increased our growth rate to 25 percent by providing an additional share of social security to our SSK and BAĞ-KUR retirees. Civil servant pensioners also received a 25 percent bonus. The increase was made above inflation. While we are making these increases to our civil servants, employees and pensioners, some enterprising and greedy people are almost reaching the pockets of citizens. We will not allow these opportunists. Our Department of Commerce has tightened checks, and we are tightening fines.
