Sales to foreigners also declined
Sales of housing to foreigners in October decreased by 8.8 percent compared to the same month last year and amounted to 5,377 units. In October, the share of housing sales to foreigners in total housing sales was 5.2 percent. Antalya ranked first in house sales to foreigners with 2,123 houses sold. Antalya is followed by Istanbul with 1658 sales and Mersin with 490 sales respectively.
In October, Russian citizens bought 2,023 houses in Turkey. Citizens of the Russian Federation are followed by Iran with 498 places of residence, Iraq with 310 places of residence and Ukraine with 216 places of residence.
