BURSA (IGFA) – Thousands of compatriots gathered at one table for a collective iftar hosted by the Osmangazi municipality in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Osmangazi Mayor Mustafa Dundar said they are supporting the spiritual climate of Ramadan in the lands of his ancestors.
The Municipality of Osmangazi, which has not forgotten its relatives living in the heirloom lands in the Balkans, hosted an Iftar dinner in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

Osmangazi Mayor Mustafa Dündar, who walked around the tables one by one before the iftar, conveyed the greetings of the people of Bursa to their compatriots. Speaking at the gala dinner, President Dündar said that Turkey had survived a great disaster and thanked the whole world, together with Bulgaria, for helping in the catastrophe of the century.
Recalling that Bulgaria went to the polls on April 2, President Dundar said: “It was the 5th election in our neighboring country in 2 years. Now, after these elections, I hope that a government will be established in Bulgaria and relief will come. On May 14, we will have elections, just like in Turkey. I hope that these elections will be crowned with success. Thus, serious steps will be taken for the peace, security and economic development of the region. This election will also make a significant contribution to world peace.” used phrases.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Sofia, Eileen Aitcock, said that she was pleased to be together at the iftar table of the Osmangazi municipality in Plovdiv and said: “We have come together in the program of our Osmangazi municipality on the blessed night of the month of Ramadan. This program has become a good tradition. We spend the month of Ramadan together in different cities of Bulgaria. We break our fast together in front of the mosques of our ancestors. We have very good feelings. We were together in Shumen last year. This year we met at the iftar table of the Osmangazi municipality, which was set up in front of the Muradiye Mosque. The Chairman of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (HÖH), Mustafa Karadayi, also thanked Osmangazi Mayor Mustafa Dündar for not leaving them alone on the big day. Imams-preachers and hafiz from Bursa read the Koran and hymns in the Muradiye mosque after iftar.
