SAFAKNA TURKEY – The database was updated on December 1 for brand new cars. Discounts up to 50,000 Turkish liras were realized on some models. However, finding a car from dealers, despite such a discount, is difficult. So why can’t you find a new car? Here are the details…
Hayrettin Ertemel, President of the Istanbul Automobile Dealers Association (IMAS), who made a statement to Milliyet on the matter, used the following statements:
The fact is that there is a shortage of supplies all over the world. Although the pandemic has disappeared, we are still experiencing its negative effects. In addition, we have not been able to overcome the causes that create supply problems, such as raw materials, production and delivery, which are even longer due to the military situation that occurs in our nearby geography and affects the whole world. If the situation improves compared to the last 2 years, it looks like the supply problem will continue for some time.
SUPPLIED CAR DEALERS DO NOT SELL CARS
In the recent past, when sales figures in the market were strong, we heard from both our citizens and our colleagues that dealers kept cars in an emerging market or demanded additional fees for selling them. However, we believe that during this period, when the market is in stagnation, dealers properly evaluate incoming bids.
ARE THE PRICES INCREASING IN THE NEW YEAR?
For this reason, an increase in selling prices is inevitable. In addition to global causes, an increase in domestic demand and a possible appreciation of the exchange rate could cause a rapid rise in prices. For this reason, we recommend that our citizens who wish to purchase a car implement these plans.
MOBILITY IN THE USED MARKET
Entry into force of the basic SCT regulation for the expected car. Our citizens have long been waiting for the SCT regulation to come into force in order to get more appropriate numbers for the car they plan to buy. With the entry into force of the SCT tax regulation in recent days, the environment of uncertainty has disappeared and the market has begun to move slightly.
