SHAFAQNA TURKEY – Production in the automotive sector in November increased by 15.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 133 thousand 466 units. In the same month last year, production was at the level of 115 thousand 304 units. In January-November, the automobile market decreased by 2 percent to 505,886 units.
In the same month, vehicle production reached 83,999 units, up 18.4 percent year-on-year, according to the Automotive Industry Association (OSD).
While the automotive market increased 34.9 percent to 86,481 units, the automotive market increased 37.8 percent to 59,222 units.
Between January and November 2022, total production increased by 6 percent and vehicle production increased by 2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. During this period, the total production amounted to 1 million 210 thousand 331 units, and the production of cars was at the level of 717 thousand 368 units.
Between January and November, the market declined by 2 percent.
Between January and November 2022, the total market volume was 705 thousand 183 units, which is in parallel with the same period of the previous year. During this period, the automobile market decreased by 2 percent and amounted to 505 thousand 886 units.
In the commercial vehicle group, production increased by 13 percent between January and November 2022, by 25 percent in the heavy commercial vehicle group, and by 11 percent in the light commercial vehicle group. Compared to January-November 2021, the commercial vehicle market grew by 6 percent, the heavy commercial vehicle market by 19 percent, and the light commercial vehicle market by 3 percent.
Between January and November 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, total car exports increased by 5 percent per unit, and car exports increased by 0.4 percent. During this period, the total export volume was 876 thousand 187 units, while the export of cars amounted to 509 thousand 364 units. Between January and November 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, total car exports increased by 5 percent in dollar terms and by 19 percent in euro terms compared to the same period of the previous year. During this period, total car exports amounted to $28.3 billion, and car exports decreased by 5 percent to $7.9 billion. In euro terms, car exports increased by 8% to 7.6 billion euros.
