ANKARA (IGFA) – A written statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack on our holy book, the Holy Quran and the glorious flag of Denmark.
The statement emphasizes that it is unacceptable to allow these heinous attacks under the guise of freedom of speech, despite all the warnings: “Our position on this issue was brought to the attention of the Danish ambassador in Ankara, who was summoned to the ministry. We will certainly continue our efforts on multilateral platforms and bilaterally against this heinous attack and similar hate crimes, which are the embodiment of Islam and xenophobia, the number of which has recently been alarming in Europe. Denmark’s insensitive attitude towards this issue provokes the reaction of all Muslims of the world and shows that the discomfort of billions of people is not taken into account. For this reason, we reiterate our demand to take deterrent measures to prevent and avoid such provocations that continue in the holy month of Ramadan.
