SHAFAQNA TURKEY – The dollar hit its highest against the Turkish lira at 20.47.
The Turkish lira depreciated more than 1 percent against the US dollar, hitting an all-time high of 20.47.
For a long time, the gap between the actually traded dollar rate and the announced and visible dollar rate has been gradually narrowing.
The dollar exchange rate for the Turkish lira, which for several weeks in the free market was less than 20 Turkish liras, prices approached 23-24 Turkish liras in the Grand Bazaar during the pre-election period, and transactions worth more than 22 Turkish liras took place in the interbank market.
Yesterday at midnight, the dollar exchange rate on the free market exceeded 20 Turkish liras.
As of July 27, the dollar is trading at 19.9988.
Euro/TL is trading at 21.44.
On the other hand, at the Grand Bazaar, the dollar for the Turkish lira is 21.17, and the euro for the Turkish lira is 22.75.
The euro/dollar pair is trading at 1.07.
