SAHAFAQNA TURKEY-High blood pressure can pose a great risk to our health. Many people in society are not aware that they have high blood pressure. Untreated blood pressure can cause serious health problems such as heart attack and stroke. Many of the foods we enjoy in everyday life can raise blood pressure.
The food we eat every day can raise blood pressure! Risk of high blood pressure…
Treatment of hypertension and proper nutrition are vital for the heart and brain. It is known that an important way to prevent high blood pressure is to avoid some of the triggers of hypertension and adopt a healthy diet as a lifestyle. However, some foods that are known to be healthy can also pose a risk for blood pressure.
It is widely known that salt is one of the culprits of high blood pressure. This is because sodium causes your body to retain extra water.
The water then presses against the walls of the blood vessels. If the food is processed, it can also be high in sodium, making it a risk factor for hypertension.
According to health coach and nutritionist Kendra Hare, cheese and crackers are two dangerous foods that cause high blood pressure. This is because they both contain a high sodium content. “Salty foods and more processed foods contain more sodium, which causes the body to retain fluid and put more pressure on blood vessels. This leads to an increase in your blood pressure. Many processed snacks, sauces, and even some breads are high in sodium, so reading labels is essential if you want to maintain healthy blood pressure.
Drinking excessive amounts of alcohol can also increase blood pressure. While all foods can be included in a healthy diet, these are the foods that contain higher levels of sodium and may contribute to high blood pressure as a result.”
He warned against overeating the following foods:
Highly processed crackers
Cheese
Chips with a high degree of processing
Sauces and condiments
Salt-flavoured fried foods
Canned soups (look for low-sodium varieties)
frozen food
Alcoholic drinks
BLOOD PRESSURE REDUCING FOODS
“More processed foods tend to contain less sodium and therefore do not cause excessive fluid retention in the body. Eating lean protein along with a variety of high-fiber, low-saturated-fat foods also helps lower blood pressure.” He recommended eating many of the following foods to lower blood pressure:
Banana
Potato
greenery
Broccoli
Tomatoes
oranges
Avocado
Beans/legumes and legumes
Fried or baked chicken (without breading or sauce)
Fried fish or shellfish
Whole grains, including brown rice, oats, small amounts of quinoa.
