SHAFAQNA TURKEY-What is labada herb?
Labada, also known as evelik, camel grass, and ephelic grass, belongs to the buckwheat family and is related to sorrel. It is a perennial plant that has been used for hundreds of years.
Labada seeds, leaves and roots contain medicinal properties and grow naturally, as a gift of nature, without the need for special cultivation. Labada grass, resembling spinach in appearance, does not exceed 1 meter in length. Although often confused with sorrel grass, evelika grass is broad-leaved.
Known as a medicinal plant, the use of labada dates back centuries, but today it is also used in the pharmaceutical industry. It is known that about 25 species are grown in our country.
